THE BIG PICTURE

How you think, how you feel, how you act, are all intricately tied to your hormones. You are quite literally, only as happy as your hormones. This is why we spend so much time teaching you how to get happy ones. Think of happy hormones as “the big picture” of health because your hormones override every function in your body.

Your journey to get healthy will be an uphill battle if you aren’t addressing the big picture = happy hormones along the way.

Your hormones are very much like a symphony. Each one plays their part and if any one of them goes out of tune then the whole symphony will sound OFF. If you feel OFF during this time of your life, it’s safe to assume your hormones aren’t doing their job - and it’s time for a tune-up.

You spend roughly one third of your life in menopause. This is a long time to feel OFF and we want to help you get back on track. Menopause can have a lot of implications: mood swings, irritability, weight gain, depression, hot flashes, no sex drive, vaginal dryness, water retention, poor concentration, memory problems, headaches, sleep problems, hair loss, looking older. So NOT fun! And a clear sign that your hormones need help.

The good news is: The MBODY8 lifestyle can help with every ailment. Correcting diet and lifestyle will have a tremendous impact on making your hormones happy - which means you will look and feel amazing.

Each week, we teach moms to embody health and wellness practices that guide them back to hormonal bliss (there are 8 pillars of health, however, we only cover 4 in the REBALANCE program because that is all you need to get started). Each week we uncover ways to EAT. MOVE. REST. DETOX. that support your mombody. Think of these as your action items. Through the act of doing, you “become” health and wellness which will lead to the results you are truly after.

Let’s get started!

MBODY8 YOUR MOMBODY TO GET HAPPY HORMONES

KEY items covered in the video:

  1. Your endocrine system is comprised of glands, organs and hormones talking to one another.  Some describe this system as an “orchestra” - any part of it playing out of tune will throw the whole thing off.  The important hormones to pay attention to here are cortisol, insulin, and oxytocin.  In other words, when you implement ways to control stress (cortisol), improve blood sugar levels (insulin), and seek out ways to feel good about life (oxytocin is the feel-good hormone), you will automatically have a spillover effect that balances the other hormones in your mombody.

  2. When you support your endocrine system, you are automatically supporting your mombody.

  3. Your sex hormones are testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone.  A woman’s sex hormones fluctuate in a predictable pattern over the course of a month in our reproductive years.  However, in menopause and beyond, our hormones fluctuate in a predictable pattern over the course of twenty-four hours - this is very different from our reproductive years. This is important to point out because a man’s hormone levels fluctuate in a predictable pattern over the course of 24 hours as well.  Our hormonal patterns in menopause more closely resemble a man’s 24-hour pattern of hormones.

  4. Each week we will teach you the best ways to support happy hormones through our four pillars of health: EAT, MOVE, REST, DETOX.  Again, it’s all about balancing cortisol, insulin and oxytocin first so the other key players like your sex hormones can more easily follow suit.

  5. Your body heals quickly.  Be prepared to have a healthy, vibrant, well-balanced gorgeous mombody in very little time and very little effort than what you are probably used to.  When you listen to your body and then get out of its way, your wellness can truly soar.

TO REVIEW: “The big picture” of what we are doing in this program is using the MBODY8 lifestyle to get those happy hormones. Listen to your mombody and support it from every angle so you be free of the ailments in menopause. This time in your life should feel amazing, no longer the curse you thought it once was.

If you would like to explore more ways to support your mombody, then I highly suggest checking out the books The Hormone Fix by Dr. Anna Cabeca, Hormones Balance by Magdalena Wszelaki, and Glow 15 by Naomi Whittel. The best information on how to have a healthy menopausal mombody and age gracefully is coming from these books and is the foundation for “the big picture” part of this program.

We’ve never met a woman in balance that has to deal with weight issues, sleep problems, crazy mood swings, or anything else that makes your momlife harder than it has to be.
